ADVICE FOR ALL WRITERS!
as you can tell this is a place for writers to get advice for their stories and such, so I thought that I should give you some of my personal advice and opinions. First off, i think that you know one of the most important rules of mine when it comes to writing; DON'T FORCE YOUR SELF TO WRITE!!! Even if you can write better the the best, if you force yourself to put words on paper, it would be terrible, I mean not bad writing, but more like emotionless writing, and that type of writing isn't that much fun to read.
Second, don't worry if your writing style changes over time, or even if your story takes a different path than you ever expected. The way my story ends has changed completely and has a sequel and maybe even a third story too!
Time for some of my opinions. in my opinion, most people get hooked on a book between the first sentence, and the first 15 pages. i mean, they're not on the edge of their seats going "ooh, aah," at it, but if the writing good, or if the first sentience is something like, "Hello, my name is Carrie, and I died at 3 O'clock today by getting ran over by a heard of blood-crazed beagles, and now I'm a zombie..." then it will most likely be the writing style that hooks them. i mean, i write like i talk, and sometimes even with my huge country accent, and i think that that is one of the reasons that people like my writing. i don't sound like a text book, and people relate to my characters, or at least that's what i hope i sound like... (:/)
